THE POETRY BIOGRAPHY

Bish started performing poetry in 1990, and one of his first main venues was at the Chorlton Park South Manchester Festival in August 1990, and for about 5 years, had supported an Irish Band called Toss the Feathers at many venues ; including Band on the Wall, the ex. International club,The Palace-levenshulme and many Irish Centres. Bish has appeared at UMIST Comedy Club open mic.spots, in open Talent competitions( e.g. exMaxwells Bar), at selected House parties and spontaneous street recitals. Cultural Poetry develops from evolving socialogical scenarios including both group and individual interactional behaviour.Academic or theoretical-based poetry does not have the same impact. Bish has created a special NIGHT-LIFE TRILOGY of Poems based on Club/Bar alcohol induced behaviour by Individuals spouting out psychologically- surpressed prejudices ;

The Trilogy Poems Set ; this was formulated using the 3 common vulgarities of nature's call i.e. Piss/Fart/shit.An augmented Punch-line emerged as follows, to describe an intoxicated individual reveling in their out- of- control status ;

A PISSED-UP FART ALWAYS TALKS A LOT OF SHIT.

An Equation of life was composed linking the 3 poems ;

i.e. A PISSHEAD + A FARTHEAD = A SHITHEAD , heading towards an alcoholic grave or decadent ethos.

Bish has developed 2 styles of PERFORMANCE ; A recital SET & A provocative topical SET.
